Abstract

Abstract− This study aims to create a website-based mangrove vegetation information system in Luwu Regency, which is expected to be an e-education and make it easier for the public to obtain information about mangroves. This research was conducted at the Luwu Regency Fisheries Service which can assist the Fisheries Service in socializing or disseminating information about mangroves. The type of research used to build and design in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE model using the waterfall research development method. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews and literature studies. The design of the system model uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach consisting of Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Class Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams. The results of the study are in the form of a website-based information system built using the PHP programming language, XAMPP as a MySQL database web server and a web browser. The testing used in this system is the Black Box testing technique and all page displays and buttons have functioned properly. the system has been implemented into a website and is ready for use.
